1 Having an unexpected donut date with my son. He's such a busy guy so I loved that he took the time to visit with me.

3 We are taking our granddaughter to karate practice tonight and will grab some butter chicken from her favorite take out restaurant.
1 Coming to the realization that it's okay to walk away. Some people say they're there, but really it's just empty words.
2 Getting all of the pieces together for an unusual craft. Then procrastinating the day away. Sometimes it's perfectly okay to change your mind.
3 Having enough of cold weather and packing away my winter clothes despite it being chilly.
1 It snowed overnight and created a bit of driving chaos for some. Thankfully we both were home just before it really came down. Thankful for the neighbor who plowed our driveway this morning too.
2 Our furnace was misbehaving but I managed to fix it by reprogramming one tiny bit. All is well and warm now.
3 I'm often a bit disappointed after I get a hair cut but this time I really love it. My stylist was in a good mood, maybe that helped?
1 Our beautiful and talented granddaughter competed in the BC Winter Games and got 4th in Advanced Kata, a Gold medal in Advanced Kumite and the very prestigious award for sportsmanship. We couldn't be prouder and happier for her.
2 Pussy willows to add to the mantle and for crafts.
3 Having my guy there at just the right moment. He really is my person.
1 Days pass by and we are still in the throes of this cold. This morning we take turns sharing the boiled tea kettle. We place a towel over our head to make a steam tent. I'm pretending it's a fancy facial.
2 Yesterday I made peanut butter cookies for Mr P. Sadly he's got no sense of taste or smell but he's really going to enjoy eating them once he's well. Most are in the freezer.
3 We had extra cherry tomatoes and garlic going soft so I added olive oil, salt and pepper and roasted then blended everything together. Oooh I'm thinking it just might be perfect for a pizza sauce or maybe just a dip on crackers.

1 I'd promised to go to the volunteer office and despite my tender back, I managed to get there. Short and sweet but I kept my word.
2 Doing little things add up to lots when you're not 100%.
3 He's happy having homemade dinners ready for him each night. I'm happy to make them
1 Our sons 38th birthday. We spent the weekend with the grandkidlets, then late lunch with cake with the whole family.
2 Getting help from the chiropractor. Now my job is physio exercises.
3 Reconnecting with a friend.
1 Creating a Valentine's heart mantle. Two different fabrics, glued, stuffed, buttoned, and handled, then strung on fairie lights.
2 I baked a lemon blueberry loaf.
3 Cleaning up.
1 Taking a walk but inevitably stopping for lunch first. We did walk after, in the rain.
2 He loves his burgers and is on a quest to try every burger everywhere. He's got a favourite one but isn't saying it's the winner just yet.
3 Making an assortment of valentines hearts from fabric and wire. I'm thinking I'll make a garland of them for the mantle. Do you think it's best to use traditional reds for fabric or maybe green or yellow might be a cool switch? Maybe I'll experiment.

2 Navigating the grocery store is hard enough with grumpy clerks, so finding a sweet smile was a bonus.

3 He's incredibly tired. So I feed him, try to engage with him a bit then he's off to bed extra early.
1 The sun broke through the clouds as I slipped into the hot tub. My spirit soaked in every bit of vitamin D.

3 I'm encouraged by the use of my bionic fingers. Stuff, no pain, and functional.
1 Some days are a walk in the park. And that's exactly what we did.
2 After walking he invited me on a late lunch date. We shared a burger with fries and it's enough for two.
3 The rest of the day was pure laziness. Luxury I'd say.

3 He's appreciative of the tasks that I can do. That really goes a long way.

3 How did I ever get so lucky that my son's chose me to be their mom. I love spending time with them. One son lives close by and today we had a visit, oh my heart is full. The other son lives on the other side of the country so even talking isn't as easy with the time difference, so when he calls or texts it's special too.
1 Homemade soup, granola and biscuits. It was a kitchen day, together.
2 Hot tubbing in the morning. Ooh my back says thank you.
3 A walk to Hardy Falls was exactly what we expected. 90% frozen. It was beautiful.
1 The job of a chiropractor is more than just a bone cracker. They're a counselor, nurse, dr and sometimes if you're lucky a friend.
2 He massages my spine area with zero knowledge of what he's doing but goes slowly and carefully and it helps. Healing hands of comfort.
3 It was -26C. We're in an extended deep freeze here. Baby it's cold outside. No it's really, really freaking cold.
1 Spending most of the day with the littles, a middle and 1 big. Loved it.
2 He's home from work early and enjoys his day instead of working in the deep freeze cold.
3 She spends all of her time with us, sharing her ideas and we soak it all in.
4 Who's crazy enough to go hot tubbing at -25 C?!? Uh huh, yup we sure did. Short and sweet
1 We meet for a quick lunch, a few hugs and I can feel her excitement to be spending a week with her granddaughter. Just the two of them.
2 A brisk quick walk in these frigid temperatures. I found frozen ice on the creek and wondered how long it would take for it to freeze solid.
3 Seeing how he looks at me after a very long workday. I appreciate his presence.
1 Snow days are the best. I love hearing the stillness.
2 I'm overwhelmed at times at the kindness and goodness that is the foundation of my husband's character.
3 Hearing the good news she has means that things are definitely hopeful.
1 Having a flexible schedule means time for family and friends.
2 Her birthday's Saturday and I'm enjoying the planning.
3 Pork tenderloin with applesauce, roast veggies and a green salad. He's happy to be fed and looked after, especially after a tough, long work day. I'm happy to give this to him.
