3 Kitty enjoyed her back scratches as my niece has exceptionally long nails. It was so good her tail swished and she was pronounced to be officially "spicy".

 1 21 years married to my best guy. We celebrated with dinner out with a view of the lake, a dessert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate script and a walk.

Our boy, seeds, and bears

 1 Our littlest little is under the weather but he still manages to chat a bit before he is sleeping again. Big prayers

3 The bird feeder is 10 feet up a pole. Here's hoping that the bears lose interest and find a different area to visit.

Snow day, techie, and I like it

 1 It snowed overnight and created a bit of driving chaos for some. Thankfully we both were home just before it really came down. Thankful for the neighbor who plowed our driveway this morning too.

2 Our furnace was misbehaving but I managed to fix it by reprogramming one tiny bit. All is well and warm now.

3 I'm often a bit disappointed after I get a hair cut but this time I really love it. My stylist was in a good mood, maybe that helped?

Sportsmanship, buds, and timing

 1 Our beautiful and talented granddaughter competed in the BC Winter Games and got 4th in Advanced Kata, a Gold medal in Advanced Kumite and the very prestigious award for sportsmanship. We couldn't be prouder and happier for her. 

2 Pussy willows to add to the mantle and for crafts. 

3 Having my guy there at just the right moment. He really is my person.

Steam, cookies, and sauce

 1 Days pass by and we are still in the throes of this cold. This morning we take turns sharing the boiled tea kettle. We place a towel over our head to make a steam tent. I'm pretending it's a fancy facial.

2 Yesterday I made peanut butter cookies for Mr P. Sadly he's got no sense of taste or smell but he's really going to enjoy eating them once he's well. Most are in the freezer.

3 We had extra cherry tomatoes and garlic going soft so I added olive oil, salt and pepper and roasted then blended everything together. Oooh I'm thinking it just might be perfect for a pizza sauce or maybe just a dip on crackers.

Lunch first, contest, and experimentation

 1 Taking a walk but inevitably stopping for lunch first. We did walk after, in the rain. 

2 He loves his burgers and is on a quest to try every burger everywhere. He's got a favourite one but isn't saying it's the winner just yet. 

3 Making an assortment of valentines hearts from fabric and wire. I'm thinking I'll make a garland of them for the mantle. Do you think it's best to use traditional reds for fabric or maybe green or yellow might be a cool switch? Maybe I'll experiment.

Opportunity, help, and sons

 1 A big mistake followed by action equals learning and growth.

2 He needs my help and I'm more than willing.

3 How did I ever get so lucky that my son's chose me to be their mom.  I love spending time with them. One son lives close by and today we had a visit, oh my heart is full. The other son lives on the other side of the country so even talking isn't as easy with the time difference, so when he calls or texts it's special too.

More, hands, and deep freeze

 1 The job of a chiropractor is more than just a bone cracker. They're a counselor, nurse, dr and sometimes if you're lucky a friend. 

2 He massages my spine area with zero knowledge of what he's doing but goes slowly and carefully and it helps. Healing hands of comfort.

3 It was -26C. We're in an extended deep freeze here. Baby it's cold outside. No it's really, really freaking cold.

Time, home, and our girl, crazy hot tubbers

 1 Spending most of the day with the littles, a middle and 1 big. Loved it.

2 He's home from work early and enjoys his day instead of working in the deep freeze cold.

2 A brisk quick walk in these frigid temperatures. I found frozen ice on the creek and wondered how long it would take for it to freeze solid. 

3 Seeing how he looks at me after a very long workday. I appreciate his presence.

2 Her birthday's Saturday and I'm enjoying the planning. 

3 Pork tenderloin with applesauce, roast veggies and a green salad. He's happy to be fed and looked after, especially after a tough, long work day. I'm happy to give this to him.
